SMS Text Alerts
How DuesterTap’s optional text notifications work, and how venue staff opt in and out.
Who these texts are for
DuesterTap is a venue-management platform operated by Luma Tech Digital, LLC and used by bars, breweries, and restaurants. Text alerts go only to a venue’s own registered staff members (owners, admins, and managers) who have a password-protected DuesterTap account. These are internal, operational notifications about that venue’s own activity — never marketing, and never sent to guests or the general public.
How staff opt in
Text messaging is off by default. A staff member turns it on themselves:
- Sign in to your account at admin.duestertap.com.
- Go to Settings → My Account and enter your own mobile phone number.
- Go to Settings → Notifications and, for each alert you want, choose the delivery method: Email, Text, Both, or Off.
No text is ever sent unless the user has both added their own number and selected “Text” or “Both” for that specific alert. Consent is per-user and per-alert.
What messages are sent
Messages notify staff about their own venue’s operations. Examples:
- A menu item is marked out of stock and removed from a menu.
- A booked musician finishes electronically signing their performance contract.
- A musician uploads required documents such as a set list, stage plot, or logo.
Sample messages:
DuesterTap — Duesterbeck’s: 2 items marked out of stock: Spotted Cow, Old Fashioned
DuesterTap — Duesterbeck’s: Whiskey Ditch signed their contract for 2026-08-14. View it in your admin console.
